Explore the magic of the indigo dyeing process using traditional Japanese techniques. Learn shibori resist dyeing methods and create patchwork pieces through tying, folding, binding, and stitching fabric. Then, screenprint patterns of linework onto additional squares of fabric to guide you as you learn the basics of shashiko stitching. Leave with a sampler of six 6 x 6 inch swatches of the indigo techniques you explored plus a take-home shashiko pattern to complement your dyed fabric with hand-stitching.

Organized in conjunction with Jesse Krimes: Elegy Quilts
