We’re located at 1214 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107, just steps away from Reading Terminal Market and the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
Parking
Limited street parking is available along Arch, Filbert, and Race streets for a fee. Please be sure to read all street parking signs before leaving your vehicle.
The Fabric Workshop and Museum is not affiliated with any parking garage and does not offer parking validation or discounts. The following lots in the vicinity of FWM offer parking for a fee:
- 1201 Filbert Street (access from 13th Street, 12th Street, or Arch Street), 1 minute walk
- 1100 Arch Street, 2 minute walk
- 1224–42 Arch Street, 2 minute walk
- 1200 Market Street (access from Market Street or 12th Street), 5 minute walk
- 45 N 10th Street (Fashion District Philadelphia), 6 minute walk
Public Transportation
Whenever possible, we encourage you to take public transportation or ride services to our location. Nestled in Center City, FWM is conveniently located near Jefferson and City Hall stations, along SEPTA + Philly PHLASH routes, and near Indego bike docks.
Regional Rail
Exit at Jefferson Station. Follow signs to Pennsylvania Convention Center and Reading Terminal Market to get to 12th and Arch Streets.
Broad Street Line (B)
Exit at City Hall. Walk east on Market Street. Turn left onto 13th Street. Follow one block and turn right on Arch Street.
Market-Frankford Line (L)
Exit at 13th Street Station. Head north onto 13th Street. Walk one block and turn right on Arch Street.
Subway-Surface Trolleys (10, 11, 13, 15, 34, 36)
Exit at 13th Street Station. Head north onto 13th Street. Walk one block and turn right on Arch Street.
PATCO High Speed line to/from New Jersey
Exit at 8th and Market Streets. Walk west on Market to 12th Street. Turn right onto 12th Street. Walk one block and turn left on Arch Street.
AMTRAK – William H. Gray III 30th Street Station
Take SEPTA regional rail to Jefferson Station. Follow signs to Pennsylvania Convention Center and Reading Terminal Market to get to 12th and Arch Streets.
SEPTA Bus
The Fabric Workshop and Museum is conveniently accessible via SEPTA bus routes 48 (Arch Street) and 44 (12th Street), however, bus routes 2, 4, 7, 16, 17, 23, 27, 31, 32, 33, 38, 43, 45, 47, 49, 61, 124, 125, and 317 will get you within a six minute walk. Philly Phlash Bus
The Philly Phlash provides convenient transportation between select attractions from Old City through Center City, the Parkway and Fairmount Park. Get off at the stops for Reading Terminal Market (#2 and #13) to walk from 12th and Market Streets. The Phlash runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday April 4–May 18, and daily from May 23–September 1, 2025.

General Admission Ticketing
Advance tickets to FWM are available.
- Advance online registration is encouraged but not required for visitation.
- Admission remains free, with a suggested donation of $5.
- Tickets will correspond with 90-minute admission windows. Guests may enter the museum at any time during that window and explore the galleries at their own pace.
- In order to maintain a healthy environment, FWM asks that you exercise good judgement by postponing your visit to the museum if you are sick or are concerned that you are becoming sick. Please call 215.561.8888 or email info@fabricworkshopandmuseum.org to reschedule tickets if necessary.
Travel Light
Bags and backpacks are permitted in the galleries, however, we ask that you consider leaving them behind for the safety of the artworks. A coat check is available on the first floor for your convenience.
Photography
Non-flash, personal-use photography is welcome in the galleries (unless noted otherwise). Share your images with us on social media and tag us at @fabricworkshop!
In the Galleries
For the safety of the art, pens and markers are not permitted within the galleries. Pencils are available at the welcome desk. As a courtesy to other visitors, cell phone conversations should be conducted outside of the galleries.
We kindly ask that all visitors observe the above measures and precautions during their visit to FWM.
