In conjunction with FWM’s exhibition Hard/Cover, speakers Glenn Adamson, Cynthia De Bos, Woody de Othello and Mary Anne Friel discuss the legacy of Viola Frey (1933—2004) and her larger influences in the contemporary art scene in our inaugural episode of Unpacking Our Stories. This series of pre-recorded conversations examines the stories of past Artist-in-Residence projects in the collection of The Fabric Workshop and Museum. Led by FWM Curator Karen Patterson, Unpacking Our Stories connects scholars, contemporary artists, and past project coordinators to re-examine the work of celebrated artists and find compelling themes that resonate in the present.

This conversation was recorded on Zoom on Thursday, June 10, 2021; video premiere on FWM’s YouTube channel and Facebook page on 9/8 at 12pm.
