Children and their caregivers will begin with an interactive tour to explore the imaginative forms in Ahmed Alsoudani’s current exhibition Bitter Fruit. After visualizing their own imagined creatures, head to our studio to create a unique screenprinted worm on nylon stocking material. Children and adults will work together to create a soft, wiggly, colorful sculpture! Just like a worm composts food scraps, FWM has partnered with the University of Delaware’s textile lab to source recycled fiber scrap to fill your worm forms! Leave with your own waste-reducing family of worms!
Workshop is intended for ages 5-12 years old and all participants must be fully vaccinated. General admission to the galleries included with your event reservation.
