An intimate gallery talk with FWM Artist-in-Residence Ahmed Alsoudani guiding visitors through the themes and works in his solo exhibition, Bitter Fruit. Known for his vivid and surreal paintings, Alsoudani and the FWM Studio have translated the imagery from his paintings into a new series of large-scale sculptures. These grotesque yet compelling forms draw from Alsoudani’s own experiences with war-torn devastation and mass violence, evoking the ways in which widespread conflict can be internalized.
