Saturday, February 26th 2-4 pm
1020 South Street
Philadelphia, PA 19147

Isaiah Zagar, creator of Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, has a very unique and, some say, liberating method for creating mosaics. In this special two-hour workshop for teens (11-18) and their adults, we will explore techniques used in the Zagar Method. Participants will examine Zagar murals on and off site, prepare and create materials, and make a mosaic. You will learn how to cut glass, break tile, work with clay, mix grout, and lay out a mosaic to take home (along with some other special handmade elements). This workshop will empower you and your teen with mosaic-making skills and inspiration for future joint-created endeavors.
