Celebrate the partnership between The Fabric Workshop and Museum and Ars Nova Workshop with a joint members’ toast and tour of The Living Temple: The World of Moki Cherry.
In this largest-ever US presentation of the life’s work of the Swedish artist and designer, the exhibition explores Moki’s radical vision through tapestries, paintings and drawings, concert posters, clothing and costumes, sculpture, music, video, and archival materials.
Available to FWM and ANW members, the tour will be led by exhibition curator Mark Christman, Founder and Executive Artistic Director of Ars Nova Workshop. A light reception will follow.
Mark Christman is founder and Executive Artistic Director of Ars Nova Workshop (ANW), a Philadelphia-based jazz and experimental music presenting nonprofit that has programmed over 1,000 live events, including some of the most significant artists from the past 50 years. Mark has curated the exhibitions Coltrane, Sun Ra meets Napoleon: Fragments of the Alter-Future, Milford Graves: A Mind-Body Deal and co-edited the latter exhibition’s catalogue (Inventory Press, 2023).
