The Wardrobe provides a stable source of well-maintained and displayed clothing that is suitable for any need, from casual to workwear. For people experiencing barriers to employment and independence, clothing insecurity is real. It can mean not having anything to wear or not having the right thing to wear. Both are barriers to advancement. The Wardrobe’s Theory of Change is grounded in the knowledge that there are systemic barriers related to race, gender identity, and ethnicity that limit advancement in the workplace, accessing educational opportunities, and building generational wealth for families. The Wardrobe seeks to help clients understand the unwritten rules of the workplace while at the same time dismantling these systems to make a more equitable society.
