All Ages Workshop

Game Changers! Design Remix Workshop

April 6, 2024
2:00 pm to 4:30 pm

Classic game board patterns like Scrabble and Checkers are screenprinted on three game board-sized pieces of square fabric in a variety of colors. Each game is laid randomly, one slightly covering another. They each have their own respective hand-made game pieces made from recycled materials like seashells and popsicle sticks.

How would you reimagine a classic childhood game with a modern twist? Do chess pieces have to represent royalty? Could players work towards a common good rather than individual domination? With an eclectic array of recycled games pieces and your own screenprinted game board, reinvent the rules for a portable custom game to play with friends and family!

Organized in conjunction with Risa Puno: Group Hug.
