FWM @ HOME Quarantine Prints: Home Art Exercises

FWM has a long history of challenging our Artists-in-Residence and our staff to use innovative materials, methods, and artmaking practices. During this time of home quarantine, FWM has considered the challenges art teachers and caregivers face and offers a series of Quarantine Prints exercises that explore and expand ideas of art making. New content will continue to be added on a weekly basis during the Museum’s closure.

Activity PDFs available for download below. These exercises can be adjusted to suit the age and abilities of your students and/or family members. Use these projects to imagine new materials, tools, and possibilities in this time of uncertainty and resourceful living. Visit our YouTube channel for how-to videos created by FWM staff, check out the Quarantine Prints playlist, and subscribe to catch them all! Safety is important to us. Projects with an * involve the use of sharp tools. We recommend adult supervision for children and those needing assistance. When using a sharp tool remember to always cut away—not towards—your fingers and body. Please use your art tools responsibly!
