Happy Weekend/Art Hour

Destroy My Sweater-Pom Pom Pop-up

December 4, 2026
4:00 pm to 6:00 pm

A photograph of a red sweater being unraveled and wound, then implied that the same yarn is used to create decorative pom poms. An example is shown of pom poms being used for gift wrap decoration.
Sample prepared by FWM Education. Photo credit: FWM Visual Archives.

It’s time to finally retire the ugly holiday sweater. Turn old knits into pom poms for holiday decorating! Learn to unravel, wind, and tie your own multi-colored pom poms from sweaters we’ll provide.

Happy Weekend/Art HourSlow weave your way to a weekend of making! Drop by FWM’s Feldman Forum for some after school (or after work) weaving the first Friday in October, November, and December from 4–6 pm. Interested makers will find new materials and easy to follow instructions each week!
