Join TodayPhilly Queer Birders started in March 2021 as a way to create queer community, learn about our feathered friends, and explore all the great birding that Philadelphia has to offer. The group typically meets up monthly and has held events at FDR Park, John Heinz NWR, The Woodlands, and more locations in the Greater Philadelphia region.
Philly Queer Birders encourages all skill levels to join, even those who have never been birding before! It’s important to create LGBTQIA+ spaces in the outdoors and PQB strives to be welcoming, accessible, and fun for all those who appreciate birds, including friends, partners, and kids. PQB welcomes all birders who align with their values, and seek to center the experiences and knowledge of queer people.
