About the Participants

TransWork is an inclusive program designed to address economic disparity in the transgender community by connecting job seekers and entrepreneurs to a network of supportive employers and business partners.

Launched in 2018, the program was developed by a committee of trans-identified Independence Business Alliance (IBA) members and advisors with support from IBA staff. TransWork hosts a job bank of open positions from allied and inclusive employers, partners with companies to host job fairs for trans and non-binary job-seekers, holds job preparation seminars, workshops, and educational panels, and supports entrepreneurs with LGBTBE Certification and networking opportunities.
