Teen Program

FWM Teen Happening: What Lies Beneath?

November 30, 2018
3:30 pm to 5:30 pm

Summer 2018 High School Apprentices and summer interns learn about mentorship and collaboration. Photo credit: Carlos Avendaño.

Are you curious about what other teens experience in their daily lives and learning about their personal insights? What Lies Beneath takes inspiration from The Fabric Workshop and Museum’s exhibition Suzanne Bocanegra: Poorly Watched Girls, celebrating the vibrant voices of teens and inviting them to consider the experiences and feelings that lie just beneath the surface of the public selves they present to school, family or friends. Join us for this free art happening and explore teen artwork produced at local partner organizations including the Attic, the Asian Arts Initiative, The Colored Girls Museum, and Fleisher Art Memorial, to name a few. Participants will have a chance to share their stories and explore screen printing, button making, and photo booth stations. Free snacks and drinks will be served.
