About the Participants

Rose B. Simpson (b. 1983, Santa Clara Pueblo, NM) has a BFA from the University of New Mexico, an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design and an MA in Creative Writing from the Institute of American Indian Arts. Her sculptures are in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Denver Art Museum, Princeton University Art Museum, Heard Museum (Phoenix AZ), Pomona College Museum of Art (Pomona CA), Peabody Essex Museum (Salem MA) and Clay Art Center (Port Chester NY). Simpson recently enjoyed a year-long solo exhibition at the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian in Santa Fe, NM. In 2019, her works were also included in the important exhibitions “Hearts of Our People: Native Women Artists,” Minneapolis Institute of Art, MN (now traveling) and “Radical Love,” Ford Foundation, New York, NY. Her first solo exhibition with Jessica Silverman Gallery opened in October 2019. Simpson lives and works at The Santa Clara Pueblo, New Mexico.
