Teen Program: Type Hype!

March 24, 2017–from 4:00 to 6:00 pm

Opening Reception:
The Fabric Workshop and Museum
6th Floor Studio
Free and open to all teens
Recommended ages: 13–19 years
For questions about the Teen Program event, please contact The Fabric Workshop and Museum at reservations@fabricworkshopandmuseum.org or (215) 561-8888.

In an open studio session, teen participants can screen-print typographic imagery onto tote bags and make their own souvenir buttons. Type Hype! also features vintage typewriter activities using the machine as a drawing tool, inspired by artist-in-residence Lenka Clayton’s typewriter drawings in her current exhibition, Object Temporarily Removed. Snacks and a party atmosphere are promised!

Lenka Clayton: Object Temporarily Removed is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional funding was provided by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and the Arcadia Foundation.
Major support of FWM is provided by the Marion Boulton “Kippy” Stroud Foundation. FWM receives state arts funding support through a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. Additional support is provided by the Philadelphia Cultural Fund, Agnes Gund, and the Board of Directors and Members of The Fabric Workshop and Museum.
